Gregg Jones Editor of Union Missourian

He went to Missouri state for 5 years, mostly because it was cheaper. He finds his job challenging when he is forced to write about big things. He loves that his job lets him met new people and that his job allows him to write about new growth in union . However, his least favorite thing about his job is having to cover violence, that sometimes gives him second thoughts about writing .For his writers block , He likes to start in the middle . " If you start in the middle , the rest just kind of forms around it ", he says.

Film Review: Insidious 3

I'd give Insidious 3  5 stars . It was supposed to be a horror film , and it was. But , It had a good storyline to it , too. It wasn't just things popping up to scare you. It was about A girl whose mother had died and she thought her mother was trying to talk to her, so she goes to a psychic , and the psychic finds out shes being followed by a demon, not her mother. The psychic also just happens also be followed by a demon . They both have to fight off the demons of their own before they die.

Interview with Joel Doepker

Q: Are you planning on adding any new summer camps for next year?

Joel: I always look for interesting summer camps for people.

Q: What do you plan on doing in the future?

Joel: I would have to say to just go with the flow and jump to any new opportunities.

Q: What helped you with writers block when you were a journalist?

Joel: Just start writing and keep the pencil moving, and don't over-think. Look at your writing as a whole. Have three main points, or themes to stick to . And look at other peoples writing for information, your favorite writer maybe.Make sure that your using your style of writing and not theirs. If you don't have a style yet , don't worry , it will come in time .

Interview with Shelli Allen

Q: What are you planning to change at ECC?

Shelli: I'm not a person who quickly changes things, but if I did change something I would ask the students what activities  should be added and what things need to be changed.

Q:What advice would you give to high school students having trouble finding a college?

Shelli: They need to think about Cost: How much can you afford , Do you want to be in a city of town , Are you going to work and if so full time or part time , Are you going to live in a dorm or at home , do you want to get away or stay at home , and what major do you want to go into? Don't choose a college with your major if your going to be miserable , because then you won't do as well .

Q: If you could change one thing in your career path , what would it be ?

Shelli: Surprisingly I wouldn't change anything.

Dear Editor

Dear Editor,

The Pledge of Allegiance has been causing some debate for quite the time now. It states, " One Nation Under God ", and I think that hurts those who don't believe in god. We have the Freedom of Religion and yet we can't accept that in Pledge. Those who don't believe in God, feel left out and Ashamed of their religion. Their friends all stand up for the pledge and they must sit in their chair at school , most likely being bullied for  their religion. How can we say they can choose their religion  when most of our national song includes  God? Are we really free to choose a religion and not be made fun of it?
